Vice President - Financial Planning & Analysis - Conglomerate - IIT/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS (7-12 yrs)

Our client is a 100% subsidiary of a large global conglomerate. They are the leading payment solutions provider to the financial institutions, merchants and e-commerce aggregators in the country. The company offers ATM Services, POS Processing Services and other Digital Banking Solutions.

The FP&A - Vice President position reporting into Director - Business Finance will lead the Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence, and M&A functions for the organisation.

Job Description:

- Lead the FP&A unit for both the Cash business and the Digital business in. Carry out the financial consolidation of components - Budgeting, Business financials analysis, Variance Analysis, Operational and Corrective responsibility. Be responsible for designing, developing and delivering FP&A strategies and execute them by working closely with stakeholders - Business Heads, CFO and CEOs to facilitate organisation's long-range financial growth plans.

- Carve out analytical work on business financials to provide insight to Leadership team and Senior Management on quality of revenues, product/service costs, LOB-wise, revenues, costs and profits and drive key initiatives on cost reduction, improvement of realisations, improvement in contribution and EBIDTA.

This would involve :

- Analysing the business financials and compare them with industry benchmarks,

- Develop metrics in discussions with Business Heads to develop people plan, improved efficiencies in processes and fuel growth in the longer term.

- Drive various initiatives through rigorous follow-ups and timely reporting to support key business decisions and validate results against KRA's

- Develop scenarios in the financial models that ensure the financial plan adequately supports and is aligned with the strategic plans of business functions. Seeks continuous improvement in the financial planning process to include standardised and enhanced reporting, automation of processes, and enhancement of strategic initiatives.

- Effectively demonstrate and lead the team on various BI aspects; Data Visualisation, Analytics, Advanced Statistical & Forecasting techniques, Data Management, Dashboard build and design for Leadership and Management. Working with teams across business functions to understand challenges and design data driven solutions to optimise and improve performance. Provide innovation direction and value addition to the business using SQL and/or BI/Visualisation tools such as Qlikview/Qliksense etc.

- Support Business Heads with pricing/costing insights in determining feasibility and business impact of new proposals/contracts on revenue and profitability - advise the business team on key business assumptions, challenges, risks, opportunities and help them in preparing the long term strategic plan for optimal execution of the proposals/contracts.

- Develop investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value and develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework. Analyse and provide insights on present financial trends, competitor behaviour on market activity and present them to the Leadership team and management.

- Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities for technology and business partnerships and then formulating business strategies to implement and monitor the strategic plans, including incubation. Work closely with the Leadership team and Business Heads to identify and evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities thus ensuring alignment of business strategy with organisation's customer experience goals.

- Manage and monitor progress of our existing M&A. Identify and evaluate potential Domestic as well as cross border M&A, JV, and other growth opportunities. Participate in negotiation of terms and structuring. Lead transaction due diligence efforts and manage transaction process. Build and maintain transaction valuation/projection models. 


- Participates in negotiation of definitive agreements and create and maintain detailed financial projections for new market/product opportunities.

The incumbent should have demonstrated minimum 7+ years of above mentioned skill sets with relevant finance/accounting/business/BI/strategy experience.

- Should be highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking and analytical skills. 


- Strong interpersonal skills with high level of tact, professionalism and with a change agent outlook who can provide insights to Leadership in helping them drive their India growth strategy. Strong team-player with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities.

Should possess :


 1) Excellent presentation skills - the ability to translate complex financial schedules into meaningful presentations is critical 


2) Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to synthesise quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and assist on decision making ability 


3) to build key cross functional and cross business relationships. 4) Must be able to present technical matters in a way that is meaningful to the audience

- Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to articulate with confidence to Leadership team and senior management and ability to influence people and empower team members to be proactive and focused on partnerships and results.

Successful candidate profile: IIT & IIM/ISB graduates with Investment Banking background and with experience in M&As.
