JH VP - Finance Transition Management - Financial Service Our client is a top tier global financial institution with a significant presence in India that supports their global operations. They are actively seeking an experienced individual to help with the continued transition of functions to their India organisation, specifically in Finance. The suitable individual will be responsible for representing finance in various group projects and initiatives. Some of the key responsibilities will include: - Representing Group Finance across various projects and initiatives. - Working on various Finance Change projects to provide Group Finance business requirements, in line with US GAAP and IFRS accounting rules - Serving as a liaison with managers of Finance line functions to identify, define and accurately document accounting/business requirements while following best practices. - Serve as an SME for various IB products including derivatives which are complex in nature involving GAAP Interpretation - Communicate clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrate an understanding of business processes and related issues. - Develop relationships and work closely with global Group Finance/Change and IT business partners. To be eligible for this role you will require: - MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience and experience in group finance or product control in Investment Banking - An understanding of the various investment bank trading products and the US GAAP &amp; IFRS accounting related to these products is needed. - BAU/Finance line experience with Change exposure is strongly preferred. - Ability to summarize progress, identify issues, assess impacts to business process owners and clearly communicate topics that require escalation. - Project management and good presentation skills and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders - Influencing skills and the ability to get collective leadership to evolve decision making would be an added advantage.
