Hiring for a leading Ed Tech based in western suburbs

We are looking for an active player looking to transform the digital agenda for the organization. This is a ground floor opportunity, to further the agenda and the journey that we have already begun on.

The VP - Engineering and Technology will own platforms, applications, and our network and computing infrastructure.

The position will be responsible to :

- Developing, implementing, managing and evaluating the company's technology resources

- Examine short- and long-term needs

- Managing the technology budget and make investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs

- Own the process and the outcomes end to end with a clear focus on adoption and business transformation

- Create and meet timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services

- Understand and examine the business processes to advocate the right solutions which sometimes may not be beneficial in the short run

- Be able to align business and technology while keeping the long-term goals on the organization in mind

- Own - with support from teams - the delivery of complex technical solutions across multiple technology platforms and stacks. Be well versed with front-end, back-end, applications and must have managed engineering teams in the past. This is a technical role

- Own the productivity, efficiency, and utilization of resources with the use of industry leading tools and processes

- Build a culture of excellence

- Contribute to and lead achieving company objectives via team objectives using the OKR framework

- Be a people leader and manage complexity, workflows, and workstreams

- Develop internal competency and make work fulfilling for employees
