Specific Responsibilities: - Managing and Mentoring a rock-solid engineering team - Planning and Delivering features, releases and technical debt reduction - Monitoring and Supporting apps and support issues that get escalated - Championing best software engineering practices in the team like design, code reviews etc - Cultivating ownership of design to monitoring in production in engineers - Prioritizing & Scoping features closely with Product team - Setting up short bursts of hackathons with the team to accelerate ideas to experimentation stage Key Responsibilities - - Independently own, drive and evolve multiple product lines - Mentor and manage multiple teams across Backend, frontend, full stack and QA. - Architect highly scalable, highly available systems with minimal guidance - Set the technology direction for the team - Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible design - Continuously refactor applications to ensure high performance and low latency systems Skills and Qualifications: - Solid leadership and mentoring skills - Must lead from the front by actively demonstrating technical prowess - Must be an exemplar in design and debugging skills - Great communication skills - Experience with design, code and test plan reviews - Experience in building at least two of the following : design, code or test plans - Must be able to split product requirements into phased scope - Ability to work with Architects to arrive at implementation plan. - Should be an engineer that the teams have looked up to on a range of technical problems in the last 2 years. - Masters/Bachelors in CS/ECE/EEE - 10+ years experience in software development - 3+ years experience in managing software product development
