Role: Vice President of Engineering The job involves 3 things 1. You've to be technically smart 2. You will need to manage people. 3.&nbsp;You need to be excited about business. Specific Responsibilities -&nbsp; 1. Managing and Mentoring a rock-solid engineering team 2. Planning and Delivering features, releases and technical debt reduction 3. Monitoring and Supporting apps, SaaS platform and support issues that get escalated 4. Championing best software engineering practices in the team like design, code reviews etc 5. Cultivating ownership of design to monitoring in production in engineers 6. Prioritizing & Scoping features closely with Product team 7. Setting up short bursts of hackathons with the team to accelerate ideas to experimentation stage Skills and Qualifications: 1. Solid leadership and mentoring skills 2. Must lead from the front by actively demonstrating technical prowess 3. Must be an exemplar in design and debugging skills 4. Great communication skills 5. Experience with design, code and test plan reviews 6. Experience in building at least two of the following : design, code or test plans 7. Must be able to split product requirements into phased scope 8. Ability to work with Architects to arrive at implementation plan. 9. Should be an engineer that the teams have looked up to on a range of technical problems in the last 2 years. 1. Masters/Bachelors in CS / ECE/ EEE 2. 10+ years experience in software development 3. 3+ years experience in managing software product development 4. Exposure to SaaS product development a plus
