Vice President - Engineering - Mobile (8-15 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end the delivery, performance, code quality and technical operations of the Mobile Platform

- Work with multiple backend teams to build extremely reliable, scalable and high performing Mobile applications for all major app platforms

- Build, mentor and manage a large team of mobile stack engineers for Ios, Android and windows.

- Work with cross functional teams of Program/Product Management, Quality, UI/UX specialists, Marketing, Business Development, Operations etc while continuously ensuring the right prioritization based on business impact.

- Be a thought leader & stay on top of the ever changing mobile ecosystem

- Work very closely with CXO level stakeholders to build & execute mobile roadmap . Represent mobile team in all CXO level reviews.

Candidate Profile :

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing startup like environment

- Should have repeatedly demonstrated overall leadership, proactiveness & ability to deliver technically correct results within timeline

- Great articulation and multitasking skills, to run across products.

- Relevant hands-on technical & people management experience of a large team of software engineers

- Ability to work permanently (or relocate) to Gurgaon, Haryana

Required Skills :

- Around 10 years of total experience with a minimum of 5 yrs experience on large scale, high-volume core mobile platform (Android / iOs / Windows)

- Understanding of cross platform mobile technologies, like Xamarin / React Native is a big plus.

- Performance oriented and understands optimized code execution and pitfalls like battery drain and services on mobile platforms.

- Understanding of push notifications and various use-cases around the same on mobile ecosystem.

- Have crisp understanding of various backend technologies like : SOA/REST services, Caching, Database modeling, Devops, etc.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a team of at least 25-30 developers

- Expertise in Agile (or equivalent) practice, believer of test driven development and ability to enforce a strong process around development/staging/production environment.

- Should have a very strong understanding of how mobile impacts business/consumers

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
