Vice President/Director - Engineering & Technology - eCommerce

The VP, Engineering &Technology, will prepare, implement and monitor the technology roadmap that addresses the company's business needs, ensure future scalability and also fuels growth. Overseeing integration of various applications currently in use and ensuring that they continue to evolve with growing organizational needs will be an important aspect of the job. Along with speed and scale, availability is equally important, our platform should perform un-interrupted 24x7.

Key Tasks:

- Develop and execute enterprise-wide data architecture to support the growing business needs and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers, along with enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

- Establish and monitor a framework to assist business decisions based on big data, analytics and AI/ML algorithms

- Ensure availability and scalability of various applications. Plan, implement and monitor key data related to hardware, software, bandwidth consumption & speed, network, downtime, peak utilization and total cost of technology ownership. Plan and execute adequate redundancies and load balancing to cater to growing information needs.

- Hire, train and retain skilled resources for IT team

- Design Information system security and usage policies and ensure compliances

- Conduct periodic system audits and take measures to mitigate the risks identified during audits

Qualifications:

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science

Experience:

- Minimum 7-9 years of experience in similar profile, programming experience in early career is desired.

Skill Sets:

- Experience in large scale development using some of the following technology stack:

- Java, Spring, Spring Boot

- Javascript (AngularJS, ReactJS)

- Hadoop

- Glue, Athena, EMR and other AWS Native data Services

- Kafka, Redis, NoSQL

- PHP, LINUX, MYSQL, ORACLE

- Experience in public cloud technology stacks of Amazon Web Services, GCP & Microsoft Azure.

- Experience in design, implementation, tuning and integration of cloud-based data analytics and data visualization solutions.
