Vice President - Credit Audit - Bank (8-14 yrs)

Our client is a Bank based in Mumbai. We are looking for an Audit profesional having experience in Wholesale Banking [SME, Mid Markets and Large Corporate Banking segment] with following specifications :

Key Job Purpose :

Primarily responsible for Credit audits of the Bank and provide support to audits of all other Business / Functions

Key Job Responsibilities :

- Lead/ Oversee audits of the Credit function. Credit audits will cover customers across all segments i.e. Large Corporates, Mid Markets, SMEs. Such audits will cover both pre and post disbursement policies & procedures.

- Manage & mentor a team of 6-8 auditors

- Oversee audit of a portfolio of over Rs 50,000 crores.

- Plan, design and implement risk based audit plans to ensure safety and soundness of the Bank.

- Participate in audits of all Businesses as a team member.

- Oversee Concurrent Audit process for Credit area.

- Ensure completion of assigned audits and documentation of work papers on time.

- Track status of issues reported.

- Keep relevant processes benchmarked to Best Practices and peer banks.

- Keep Audit Procedure Manual and checklists current and updated.

- Examine and provide comfort to Head Audit on all developments on Credit related areas so as to provide assurance on regulatory and other control requirements of the Bank. Simultaneously devise audit checklists for use of internal/concurrent Auditors and test processes/procedures to foresee pitfall and bottlenecks and ensure these are audited/resolved.

- To provide suggestions for improvement to existing process / systems to line management

Essential Attributes and Competencies :

- Expert knowledge of Credit Policies & Procedures covering both pre & post disbursement aspects.

- Expert knowledge of bank audit procedures.

- Hands on experience of approximately 8-14 years both at operational and supervisory level.

- Possess sound product knowledge of all other areas of banking including regulatory requirements.

- Should be a clear thinker and excellent communicator

- Good team player to provide able support to Head- Internal Audit, should have leadership and people management skills to guide team mates, peers and auditees.

Qualifications and Desirable Experience :

- A CA (preferably rank-holder) / MBA from a reputed institute.

- 8-14 years post qualification experience in Financial Services / Audit Firm environment in a reputable organisation.

- Of the above 2-3 years should have been in Corporate Credit Audit/ Corporate Risk / Credit Admin functions

- Impeccable integrity and risk consciousness.
