Vice President - Corporate Communications - BFSI

- This is a senior role for an individual who can provide strategic direction and execution to a robust, proactive and effective external, internal and brand communications strategy .The individual will be responsible for covering all communications in the site.

- The role covers both internal communications and driving great impact and endorsement from staff, as well as external communications, working closely with the media and industry participants to provide effective representation and coverage for brand.

- He/she will also, in conjunction with Senior Management, be responsible for developing the communications strategies that employ innovative and successful tools that seek to engage and educate internal and external stakeholders

- He/she will be responsible for the day- to- day liaison/management of media relations for the above areas and for maintaining an active, ongoing dialogue with both media and industry participants in order to provide the best media opportunities to promote the franchise.

- The individual must also be able, from time to time, to handle issues and reputation risk matters with the aim of minimising, mitigating or preventing negative perceptions being reflected in the media.

- He/she will regularly assess the effectiveness of the business's communication channels and put in place measures that will create awareness and momentum as well as test the effectiveness of communication activities.

- Act as single point of contact for executing communications agenda in the - on average 80% internal, 20% external communications

- Ensure concise communications planning, strategy and global/Group initiatives

- Create and execute organisational and executive communications (e.g., management memos, speeches, intranet feature stories, internal videos, other multimedia materials)

- Collaborate with Corporate Functions Internal Communications, Global and APAC Media Relations and Branding and where required our local PR agency to develop and manage external communications agenda, where the focus is on building a reputation as an employer of choice

- Align messaging with broader messaging

- Maintain, enhance and edit news flow, including intranet pages; as necessary work with Branding department on the related content and design

- Utilize existing Corporate Communications and Branding processes to ensure effective delivery of messages through various channels and develop processes to effectively manage the information flow

- Provide proactive, practical and strategic counsel and support to senior managers on their internal regional communications, especially relating to communications campaigns to deliver key messages to our internal audience

- Provide support in leveraging key corporate initiatives such as philanthropy and diversity & inclusion initiatives as well as business achievements for internal publicity

- Assist with the development and implementation of new internal communications tools and processes.

Qualifications

- At least 10 years' experience or the equivalent of demonstrated expertise in in-house corporate communications, particularly in internal and executive communications and preferably in financial services, as well as business and financial media relations, which may include time spent as a member of the financial press

- Advanced degree graduate, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Business Administration or Economics

- Must be very conversant in issues related to the financial services industry

- Individual must possess superior written, spoken and presentation skills

- Fluent spoken and written English is essential

- Experience in utilizing corporate social media platforms

- Experience in advising and influencing executive management on strategic topics

- Strong credentials to drive results by taking a proactive medium and long- term view of business goals and objectives
