Vice President - Supply Chain/ Commercial Head (Bulk Chemicals)

- Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed.

- Ensures transparency in the procurement flow.

- Ensures that the company does business with only reputable, reliable, flexible suppliers by following the supplier vetting & approval process.

- Ensure that each purchase follows company policy and procedure, and is executed at the best price, without sacrificing quality or service.

- To compare purchase request amounts with the budget, and/or Stock Level Control amounts, to ensure that spending is within approved limits.

- Ensure that the company's interests are effectively pursued before all suppliers. Negotiates aggressively on price and all other terms, regarding individual purchases as well as blanket purchasing agreements.

- Ensures follow-through on delivery and other terms of execution, as needed, acting as the main supplier contact.

- Manages disputes involving invoicing, price & quantity delivered, quality, and other terms.

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

- Looking at ways to improve supply chain networks.

- Strong understanding of best practices for the Supply Chain process (including Procurement, Logistics, and Import).

Optimize operations :

- Command on operations for handling raw material sourcing and vessel chartering which includes identifying the right supply source, right vessels, negotiation for raw material and freight, drafting of the contract for raw materials, drafting of charter party for freight contract, drafting of letter of credit, understanding the complete chain of activities involved in purchase to pay cycle.

- Having understanding and market intelligence for all the commodities which Co's handle and dry bulk vessel market

- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.

- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle - Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

- Resolve any arising problems or complaints.

- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.

- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

- Having exposure of meeting all the compliance matter be, it with Customs, Indirect taxes, forex payment, related party transaction etc.

- Having exposure to Containers booking for export and associated activities such as identifying and entering in the contract for CFS and CHA at various ports in India

- Having sound and detail understanding of international trade and related risk associated with the trade.

Planning :

- Thorough knowledge of Raw Material Planning.

Exchange :

- Monitoring exchange trends closely

Qualification And Experience :

1. Minimum 15 plus Years of Experience in Supply Chain with a Bulk Chemical Manufacturing Industry.

2. Strong Leadership capabilities, IT skills, including Excel; must have experience with an integrated purchasing system, such as an SAP.

3. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques/reading- the market.

4. Talent in negotiations and networking and aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.

5. Experience in collecting and analysing data - Logistics & Warehouse.

6. Thorough knowledge of import and export.

7. Experience in functional areas of Operations, including Planning, Purchasing, Distribution.

8. Proven track record in successful implementation of strategic plans.

9. Market responsive awareness with business mindset.
