Vice President - Backend Engineering - IT Captive

Position: VP-Backend Engineering (Leading MNC IT Captive)

Role:

- The Company is working on a new Connected Platform which is a global open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure, a scalable system, rooted in mordern architecture (cloud native technologies) and design

- Hands on leadership and end-to-end responsibility of the Company's backend data processing pipelines

- Partner with leaders across technology to support and lead technical conversations, including architecture review, code review and drive SDLC processes

- Lead full cycle development of strategic initiatives and provide overall technical guidance to all data processing teams

- Work closely with the platform frontend product leader, creating a linkage between tech development and commercial outcomes

- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices

- Develop and inspire a world class team fostering the highest quality talent while scaling to meet business challenges

- Cultivate strong culture and engagement and create future leaders and senior technologists

Requirements:

- B.Tech (Comp Science)/ MTech (Comp Science)/ MCA

- 20+ yrs of experience

- Deep experience in developing scalable and cloud native data processing frameworks using microservices and cutting edge technologies

- Extensive experience in leading delivery teams in agile software development practices and DevOps

- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance, scalability and availability

- Demonstrated experience in designing and building multithreaded distributed systems

- Should have evolved through various technology roles with good experience in development and delivery earlier in the career

- Should have led large Engineering teams, delivering at scale

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
