Requirement for Vice President for a Leading Bank for Audit Strategic Initiatives

Key deliverable:

1. Help better define the role of audit vis-vis other Risk functions such as CRO and Compliance

a. Document such understandings in a sophisticated and easily understandable form and communicate across function

2. Help prepare the annual and quarterly audit plans

3. Help set up a workforce management system for Audit to enable us to dynamically understand and quantify workload and allocate resources to align to the expected workload

4. To set up and dynamically utilize an audit resource requirement process and an internal training requirement process so that resources are available when required

5. To prepare and continuously improve audit reporting to the Board and CEO

6. Analyze existing audit processes to identify areas of improvement/ development

7. To remain abreast of the latest technology tools and capabilities and drive automation of the audit processes to improve productivity, quality, and effectiveness of audit

8. To examine the risk governance structures of various businesses and support functions within the bank, identify weaknesses and suggest solutions

9. To evaluate the process integrity of various businesses and support functions, identify weaknesses and suggest solutions

10. Assisting Fincare leaders in improving the quality of documentation through reviewing and suggesting improvements


1. MBA from a grade A/ B+ institute (IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI, Bajaj, NMIMS, SP Jain) is preferable, though not mandatory

2. Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint is essential - the ability to do basic macros and some programming using excel is a desirable

3. 5 years experience in a financial services company or a service provider to the financial services industry. Experience in the areas of Operations, Risk, Audit or Compliance is preferable though not mandatory

4. Working knowledge of Lean and 6 sigma and in-process mapping would be an added plus

5. Excellent presentation skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint

6. Excellent communication, especially written communication
