- The Investment Banking Associate Vice President / Vice President is the key person who is responsible for a multitude of responsibilities like conceptualizing, planning, organizing, developing and delivering new business presentations, calling the prospective clients, analyzing and researching the market to carry out financial analysis, making legal agreements and developing and fostering client relationships. - He/she is the leader, especially in executing the merger and acquisition / PE transactions and takes effort to start and generate new deals. Documentation - Create financial models using excel and other financial tools - Perform financial analysis Conduct comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and trading multiples etc - Prepare IM's and other relevant documents - Manage all correspondence and other confidential information appropriately - Manage client transaction by designing and reviewing all analysis and presentation created by other analysts working on a transaction. - Build knowledge and data required for current and foreseeable transactions Transaction Advisory - Excellent understanding of the technology sector - Originate & close M&A deals.. - Research and scan market for M&A opportunities. - Financial analysis and modeling - Follow developments in the M&A/PE space to maintain an understanding of current and anticipated trends across relevant sectors/industry verticals. - Assist in evaluation of merger and acquisition deals - Handle the transaction life cycle independently - Maintain relationships with clients and industry experts - Interact with third party entities during transaction process - Perform environmental scan to identify and evaluate opportunities - Manage client due diligence, negotiations, contracting, compliance, internal and external communication - Research and Analysis of companies and industries - Manage operational aspects of a prospective deal from origination to conversion into a client & finally into a mandate - Follow developments in the M&A/PE space to maintain an understanding of current and anticipated trends across relevant sector/industry verticals. - Assist in evaluation of merger and acquisition deals - Handle the transaction life cycle independently - Perform environmental scan to identify and evaluate opportunities Client relationship Management - Scout and Maintain constant touch with potential clients - Clearly communicate and keep clients updated on progress - Meet clients regularly and understand changes/ trends in business - Escalate any issues or barriers related to clients problems / business to Managing Partner - Report any client related ethical issues - Maintain client relationship after deal closure - Maintain relationships with clients and industry experts - Interact with third party entities during transaction process
