Job Profile : The successful candidate will build and head the Risk Management team of 8 employees and will report directly to the Managing Director. The team will be responsible for providing risk management services to a point of sale financer in the US. Roles & Responsibilities : The scope of services is very broad and will cover : 1. Both credit and fraud risk management, across the entire customer life cycle including acquisition, underwriting, customer management and collections 2. Responsibility will cover all the key analytical functions including modelling, analytics, reporting and loss forecasting 3. Develop and maintain risk policy and risk strategies 4. Develop credit & fraud risk models by leveraging both traditional and non-traditional data sources, and leveraging the latest machine learning modelling techniques 5. Work closely with the client's risk team to deliver on their requirements 6. Provide thought leadership and manage & train the team on latest analytical tools 7. Serve as the key point of contact for the client and nurture and grow the relationship Requirements : 1. Minimum 5-year experience in risk management and analytics, of which at least 3 years must be in consumer payments 2. At least 2 years- direct people management experience 3. Retail Risk management experience focused primarily on portfolio analytics / strategy building / modelling in the Banking & Financial Services Domain. 4. Expertise in at least one of the retail lending product areas viz., Unsecured loans, Secured loans, Mortgages, credit cards. 5. Good understanding of the payments landscape in the USA, with key focus on understanding of the credit bureau data 6. Hands on experience in building risk models leveraging big data modelling techniques 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to prepare presentations for executive level audience Qualifications & Skills : 1. Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering from a premier institution 2. Experience with analytical / statistical tools - SAS, SQL, Knowledge Studio, Python, Machine Learning
