About the Role:

- Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls.

- The Enterprise Finance function contains the Corporate Controllers division, which includes functions for Accounting Operations and Accounting Business Unit Support. These functions perform accounting services across operating segments and corporate staff functions (collectively - LOB- ). The accounting teams ensure the books and records and all transitions, positions and activities of the LOB and associated legal entities are in compliance with GAAP and internal accounting and external regulatory policies and practices, appropriately controlled within the COSO controls framework, and provide accurate and timely reporting for SEC and regulatory purposes.

Responsibilities :

This role is a key component of Controllers- strategy to build a talent pool globally to support the accounting functions. To achieve this mission, this role will be responsible for the following areas:

- FPM5 is a key leader who will lead the India based accounting function consisting of processes like period-end accounting, operational accounting, business support, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting

- Will manage medium to large team with multiple units and/or multiple sites, taking a leadership role in the group, area or function

- Develops and implements shorter-term strategies with low-to-moderate financial risk and that could impact functions or activities outside the group

- Familiarity with money movements and financial instruments including awareness about various securities, products in a financial market scenario

- Typically manages subordinate managers or professional teams

- Has accountability for EGS financial and operational performance for teams this position supports

- Will be a subject matter expert who will in turn, be expected to lead a set of managers, subject matter experts and specialists. This role will be responsible to oversee teams who perform day-to-day operations, serve as an escalation point, and ensure governance activities including monthly and quarterly business reviews are conducted. The position will be responsible to deliver on all agreed service level agreements (SLA) and key metrics and will be the single point of contact for the Controllers Accounting and Reporting teams. Will be responsible to drive automation and be able to identify other transformational ideas to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

- He/she will also be responsible for managing, reporting, career path and rewards and recognition related activities for their direct reports and also lead/engage and deliver towards organization level initiatives.

Essential qualification:

- CA / CPA / CMA /or MBA (finance) from reputed institutions

- Demonstrated relationship management ability with a background in accounting and external financial reporting for US Banks.

- 16-18+ years of professional experience in accounting and external financial reporting

- 8+years of experience in a Global Capability Center or a third party services organization and in managing F&A processes of at least 50-100+ FTE size, (preferably Banking, Financial Services or Insurance Finance processes)

- Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies

- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, analytics, business or related field or equivalent experience

- Strong and effective interpersonal communication (written and oral), organizational, and customer service skills.

- Ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts/relationships, including executive/senior-level managers.

- Preferable to have prior experience in Finance & Accounting solution design / transitions (2-3 years)

- Should have mandatory exposure to US GAAP

- Exposure to IFRS would be an added plus
