Senior Executive - Business Intelligence & Analytics, Strategy & Data Science

Role Summary :

- We are seeking a BI developer to help drive innovation and analytics in optimizing our research, marketing, programming and sales functions. 

- You will help build dashboards using vast data sets and must have strong hands-on experience in data analysis, data modelling & visualization in a BI visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc). 

- Your primary focus will be on developing new dashboards and managing existing ones. You should be proactive, focused on results, a self-starter, good in communication and have a strong desire to learn.

Specific Responsibilities :

- Design BI solutions to address business problems such as ad sales, TV viewership, marketing, content, commercial costs, etc.Develop & execute the required diagnostics, data models & visualizations for these solutions

- Bring structure to large quantities of data to make BI solutions implementable, extract meaning from data to help improve decision making. 

- Define metrics and identify variables that will have be used in the solution

- Liaise closely with Business and external stakeholders during the entire development lifecycle of the solution

- Provide support to the business teams on deployed dashboards, when needed

Special skills :

- Ability to translate business requirements & KPIs into metrics derived from raw data

- Create training manuals/presentations for the end users to refer to for using dashboard

- Prior experience of working with broadcast media data is preferred

- Create a scope document for the dashboard that will be the bible for coming up with the BI dashboard (should contain KPIs, attributes, data grain, slicer options, etc.), Strong knowledge and experience with graphic design, visual design, user interaction, or related principles

- Create efficient data models, to optimize performance of the dashboard

- Visualization of dashboards on Power BI (prior experience of development on Power BI/Tableau/Qlik is essential)Should have used SQL to extract/connect to databases to transform data that will be used

- Should have a good understanding of ETL processes & production model for BI solutions

- Should be strong in data analysis

Knockout items :

B.Tech/M.Tech from Tier 1 Engg. (IITs & BITS) or MBA from Tier 1 (IIMs & ISB) or Undergrad/Post-grad from ISI is a must1 to 3 years of hands on experience in BI & analytics in Media & Entertainment/E-commerce & retail/BFSI/Analytics firms/new-age technology firms
