Position: Innovation Lead, Process and Business Growth

Location: China

Purpose of the Job:

The Innovation Lead, as a member of the VGL management team, is responsible for the development, organization, and execution of strategic initiatives to grow and transform the overall business. Partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams within VGL Group (our Global Parent Company) and VGL across all verticals, the Innovation Lead helps drive key initiatives and continuous process improvement throughout all aspects of the business, and ensures that VGL's complex and evolving business runs smoothly.

As part of the Management team, the Innovation Lead will play a key role in VGL's growth agenda by leading key projects and initiatives as well as managing certain ongoing business needs. The role offers a high level of visibility into VGL business strategy.

Key Deliverables:

- Responsible for implementing strategic projects to support business growth, team effectiveness, and customer satisfaction

- Provide senior-level management and oversight for key VGL programs and initiatives, as well as all activities/deliverables in scope for Business Management

- Possess a strong sense of project-management rigor, leadership, organization, and communication with the ability to accommodate frequently changing strategies and decisions proactively and reactively

- Innovation Enablement

- Help define product business vision for technology innovation needed in order to drive efficiencies and effectiveness in team tool usage and improve innovation processes

- Play an active role in development and implementation of tools and resources to improve productivity across all sales, support, management, and business support

- Bridge business and technical teams by being fluent in the language of consulting (business drivers, process), design (user-centric experience design), and technology

- Engage the business, acting as a point of contact for cross-functional collaboration; coach the cross-functional project team on the business perspective and strategic imperatives to inform key project decisions.

- Work with Sales, Technology, Data Analytics, Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Customer Relations teams to understand user experience and business pain points / hot spots

- Develop the cross-functional plan and direct cross-organizational teams through project lifecycle from ideation to project execution and implementation, including executive approval and multiple demand-management processes; Work closely with Technology team to develop product roadmaps and execute delivery of technology platforms

- Manage employee stakeholder expectations and executive communications when project risks and issues arise

- Drive change management and team-member readiness for key initiatives

- Process Improvement & Business Transformation

- Integrate and implement business transformational initiatives for VGL

- Identify opportunities for process design, re-engineering, simplification, and automation

- Recommend and prioritize tactical and strategic projects to deliver ongoing sustainable business improvements.

Manage Team

- Coach and mentor teams, and conduct & develop training programs to contribute to capability building and knowledge sharing (project management, requirements gathering, business process modeling etc.)

- Manage and direct overall project team activities and monitor progress, including project health, capacity planning, developing and mentoring staff, and internal process-improvement activity.

Qualification & Key Competencies/skills:

- Masters in Management/MBA and Graduation in any stream.

- Minimum 3 years of management experience and 5 years of relevant experience (retail, strategy development, program management, change management, project management)

- Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced environment

- Critical thinking ability; can understand all the information available, tie it all together, and speak to it clearly and concisely

- Established track record of delivery in a complex environment

- Ability to partner across functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills

- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience

- Proven work experience influencing others (change management) to initiate a recommended course of action to solve a problem or increase efficiency

- Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
