Global Manufacturing -> Engineering & Business Service Center -> SCM EBSC

SCM is a department under Engineering & Business service center, supporting Direct material Buying, Production Planning, and CAPEX buying & Logistics coordination for all Vestas Factories across the globe. This is a centralized offshoring team based in Chennai.

Responsibilities:

- Service delivery in agreed scope of Buying and Transportation Processes

- Adherence and E2E Process ownership of Buying and Transportation processes.

- Ensure a high level of customer service/support through direct interaction with global stakeholders

- Develop and motivate the team to enable it to handle increased complexity

- Define improvements of internal processes and procedures and support cross functional optimization

- Establish Governance across teams and stakeholders and promote the KPI's

- Self-directed and collaborative approach to solving problems, leveraging resources and cross organizational coordination and collaboration

- Identify & drive Process Transformation and cost out initiatives

- Create a safe environment for all employee (Psychological and Physical safety)

- Develop and Maintain Skill Matrix and Cross training index

- Leading, developing and coaching a team of Buyers / Planners

- Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvements and bring in best practices across teams

- Participate in special projects to ensure efficiency and control within EBSC

Qualifications:

- Post-Graduation in any discipline or master's degree in business administration

- Minimum 15 and above years of relevant experience in SCM or Procurement Process involving SCM

- Knowledge on Supply Chain, Operations and Analytics

Competencies:

- Ability to establish and develop productive relations and enhance (internal and external) customer satisfaction through dialogue, communication, transparency, and integration Experience with off shoring activities

- Cross cultural insight and understanding

- Knowledge in SCM P2P Process - Buying and Transport

- Self-motivated and target focused - motivated and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership

- Operations and Service Delivery

- People & Stakeholder Management

- Risk Management

- Finance & Budget Planning

- Management skills not limited to Planning, Organizing and Prioritizing.

- Fluent in English (Oral & Written)

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power point for reporting day to day developments

- Ability to be innovative, creative, and responsive to situations
