Vertical Head - Category Management - Industrial Goods - B2B eCommerce Business (8-14 yrs)
Role- Vertical Head/ Category Management- Industrial Goods
Location- Kolkata
Industry- India's largest B2B eCommerce company
CTC- 30 LPA
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in management or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience working in industrial goods landscape in B2B e-commerce space
- Experience with business development and P&L ownership
- Experienced professional in revenue management and costing
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving/analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis, Forecasting and Planning :
- Target Setup for Annual Sales and Net Margin.
- P&L management - ownership of sourcing, value chain, developing cash flow models and business proposals to meet financial goals.
- Ensure top line and bottom-line achievements with YOY business growth.
- To achieve profitability - Sales and margin tracking - cut across products, countries, and clients
- GMV and Revenue forecasting across products and countries
- Competition Monitoring - Analyze platforms, large store chains and benchmark.
- Ops coordination, driving sales and client level tracking with category insight shared, with regular reviews with clients and internal stakeholders
- Prepare business report MIS, analyses sales by Category, by Supplier, by Market with Sales & Margin Update
New Category Development:
- Using consumer research, internal and external understanding, data, intuition, creating relevant sub-categories for the organization to help build deeper understanding of the consumers, their behaviors, needs / wants across different occasions.
- Scan market trends, competitors and introduce new product lines on platform basis topline potential, sales, and ability to differentiate
- Placement of product categories basis country/regional geographies.
- Marketing and Branding strategy for new products launch on platform
Category Management:
- Competition analysis (pricing/promotions/launches) & study of industry trends to provide key inputs for conceptualization, Communication of the products in the category.
- Design the GTM and scale up for products in new geographies.
- Work closely, across functions (Back-end Supply Chain, Delivery Ops, Merchandising, Planning team, Brand & Offline & Digital Marketing Team) for Planning, Supply Chain and Procurement.
- Negotiate margins and cost control, draw out cost reduction plan for each product line.
