Brief about the role :

- Vedantu is committed to creating impactful online learning programs for students across the country. The Early Learning and Specialty unit focus on the K-6 segment.

- We have already launched three programs for young children, and more are in the making. Each program has its own teacher community and all classes are conducted live online. We are looking for an Manager, Academic Operations to manage the end-to-end operations of all our live programs.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- You will have two primary roles. First is the overall operational management of teachers. Second is the operational management of the programs that are currently live.

- To manage the teacher operations, you will have a team of Teacher Account Managers (TAM) reporting to you. Through them you'll manage the community of over 1000 teachers. The TAMs coordinate with the teachers on a day to day basis.

- You will have to set processes that improve business efficiency (including aspects like teacher utilisation, teacher availability, and teacher pay-outs) and guide the TAMs to ensure smooth execution. It is also your responsibility to plan and manage the supply of teachers taking into account business growth.

- In the program operations role, you will have a team of Program Managers reporting to you. You'll work closely with the Content team and the Product-Tech team to first identify the gaps in the current programs and then to execute the initiatives taken to address those gaps.

- To identify the gaps you'll have to analyse the data logged from the live online classes as well as the feedback from teachers and parents.

- Your role as the Manager Academic Operations is to ensure overall smooth backend execution so that our teachers are supported and the program delivers as per the promises made.

- Problem-solving abilities to be able to understand problems and identify solutions.

- Ability to work and coordinate with cross-functional teams like content, tech-product, marketing, and growth.

- Ability to multitask and work on the teacher side as well as the program execution side.

Basic qualifications :

- Graduation degree from any numerate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Math, Physics)

- At least 5 years experience managing and leading a team.

- Demonstrated experience of analyzing and synthesizing data or working on MIS reports.

- Excellent written as well as spoken communication skills.
