Role Summary

Who are we looking for?

The Lead Product Designer will be owning the design processes and mentoring the Product Designers in your team. You will also be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of design solutions for the problems that the product encounters, in collaboration with the Technical, Product, Data & Business stakeholders. Thinking of Design being aggressively User Centric is something that we love to see in action.

Experience required:

- 5+ years of experience in product design, working on multiple web and mobile products in a consumer experience start-up environment.

Designation: Lead Product Designer

Function: User Experience & Product Design

Reporting to: Associate Director, Product Design

Working Hours: Normally working Mon-Fri 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, 5 days a week with additional hours as required.

Responsibilities:

- Leading & Owning the Design Process: Lead the product design process from conception through to validation and production, driving high-quality outcomes.

- Individual contributor: You should be able to understand and process complex problems to come up with elegant and informed solutions.

- Team player: Showcase excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional and multi-disciplined teams

- Building Knowledge: Developing knowledge of users across key areas and deep expertise in your strategic product area. Also, evangelise design and design practices across the organisation.

- Guide & Mentor: You will be motivating and guiding the growth of your Design team members with strong interpersonal skills.

Skills/Qualification:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in product design - working on multiple web and mobile products.

- A great understanding of Visual Design with attention to detail and consistency

- Ability to understand user pain points and drive user research and usability testing.

- Ability to design and prototype new and creative approaches to complex design problems.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills. You should be able to clearly articulate design decisions to the Design team as well as the leadership team.

- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to define, strategise, design and ship features.

- Understanding the importance of Data & Analytics in making data driven designs.Being comfortable with numbers.

Bonus Points:

- Expertise in one or more of the following product spaces: Development knowledge, Motion Graphics, Content creation and UX writing.

- Having a dynamic design blog or any published articles
