Veda Ventures (www.veda.vc) is an early stage focused venture capital fund with ~INR 250Cr investment corpus. Veda was created by founders, for founders, with an aim to reduce start-up failure rate by enabling founders to reach product market fit faster and efficiently raise more capital.

Key areas of focus for Veda include Enterprise and Mid-market SaaS, Consumer Internet & Marketplaces, Creator Ecosystem, FinTech and others.

About the Role :

An Analyst is expected to work closely with the Investment Team to drive end to end lifecycle of portfolio investments from sourcing to exit.

Key responsibilities would include :

- Investment Sourcing: Build diverse and deep network across the startup and VC ecosystem to drive investment origination. Build sector thesis to identify investment opportunities and areas of interest.

- Investment Analysis: Evaluate prospective investments on qualitative and quantitative parameters. Build investment thesis / notes to present to Investment Committee for inclusion in the portfolio. Evaluate and negotiate legal documents with the startups including Term Sheets and SHA.

- Sector Specialization: Build deep domain knowledge via primary and secondary research, keep a track on dynamic secular and tactical trends in core sectors.

- Portfolio Growth: Work closely with portfolio companies in areas like go to market, hiring, performance marketing and others. Leverage Veda network to create overall value for portfolio companies.


Key Requirements :

- Proven interest in startups and investing.

- Intellectual curiosity and a structured thought process.

- Undergraduate or Post Graduate from premier institutes in India or abroad.

- 1 to 4 years of work experience at a consulting firm, investment banking, venture capital or investment research.
