Background : - The CEO and Founder has 12 years- experience working in the US, UK and India in the finance, startup, and legal sectors. Specifically, he has worked for the world's best Investment Banks (e.g. Goldman Sachs), law firms and hedge funds in growth strategy, operations, and sales. He has managed teams as large as 20 people and regularly delivered work product for, and reported to, Managing Directors. Furthermore, he has raised tens of millions of dollars for various asset managers. He holds a law degree specializing in investment law and a master's in economics from the University of Cambridge. - The CTO and Co-Founder has 13 years- experience with one of India's most renown venture-backed consumer websites (valued over $500m). He's managed as many as 70 people and takes a hands-on, execution-focused, approach to building world-class product. He is prolific in developing high performance web applications, was responsible management of key vendor relationships, and has reported directly to the Founding team of an incredibly successful startup. Status of the Business : We have a decisive vision and know how to get all the pieces of a business in place (we- ve done it before) and will pursue funding once the MVP is built. More specifically, we have a 5 year precision financial forecast, an investment-grade business plan, an in-progress and robust MVP, a clear understanding of complex regulation and international legal structures, a strong network across the US and Indian asset management industries, proprietary and targeted sales prospect lists, a step-by-step company action plan, and unreplicable experience building several asset management businesses from the ground-up. We are a pre-money startup Description : We are seeking a highly motivated, extremely responsive, and hard-working&nbsp;VC Investment Principal to help build a next generation business to business lending interface for India. We are looking for a person who is long-term oriented and willing to put in the work for 8-10 months during the design, build, and capital raise period. This means joining kohtah would be a part-time endeavor for you, in your first year, while you continue with your day job. Reporting : You will report directly to the CEO. Desired Skills and Qualifications : - 7+ years of work experience in private equity/venture capital is a must. - This is a Chief Investment Officer track position (your promotion will be based on metrics set by you). - 5+years of experience in directly managing a private equity/venture capital portfolio and the concentration risk is also a must. - Must be highly responsive (over email and chat) and have a strong sense of ownership. - 3-5 years of managerial experience if highly preferred. - Integrity and strong sense of ethics is absolute must. - Degree from a top institution is preferred. MBA not required. Responsibilities : - Manage: the investment portfolio, due diligence, and modeling our risk. - Develop: version 2.0 of our business to business lending analytics/metrics. - Source: In addition to managing the inflow of submissions from businesses seeking loans, your outreach to target companies will be critical to the company's growth and success. - Network: with other firms to develop partnerships and syndicate deals. - Documentation: summarize call notes in CRM, draft investment memos, keep the CEO apprised. - Support: the culture of compliance and commitment to ethical business. - Target compensation (after seed capital raise) for this role is - 55-60L and significant equity, 5 day work weeks, 4 weeks time off each year - with a minimum of 2 weeks required, and best-in-class health and personal benefits.
