ROLE SPECIFICATIONS:

Position ESG Research Analyst Department/Team Research

Location: Mumbai 


 Reporting Head of: Research


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client management:

- An accurate understanding of the scope of research assignments/projects

- Meet & surpass the client expectations

- Seek regular client feedback from stakeholders

- Incorporate the feedback & close the loop

Delivery management:

- Has a strong interest in general ESG trends and specific knowledge about the dominant ESG issues for selected industries

- Should be able to investigate and assess core ESG risks faced by the industries and evaluate performance along the key benchmarks for large publicly traded companies globally

- Search, procure, and process information about global companies using multiple methods, techniques and sources

- Perform holistic analysis to support development, testing, and implementation of physical risk and analytical framework

- Capture and transform raw data into meaningful information/ratings/scores

- Work with different types of information sources (i.e. lengthy annual reports, websites, quantitative data feeds, web crawlers), types of information (i.e. quantitative data, key performance indicators, prose narratives), topics or subject matters (i.e. traditional financial risk, corporate governance, and sustainability) and types of analysis (i.e. rules-based, subjective analysis, written summaries)

- Produce scores, ratings and other forms of relevant analysis

- Monitoring quality and productivity metrics to ensure continuous improvement

- Develop and maintain an understanding of key ESG issues and integration into MIS's ratings

- Deliver periodic update presentations to client with organized data and findings in a logical manner

- Deliver and achieve 100% client satisfaction

Educational, experience, and skills requirements:

- Graduate, post-graduate/CFA/CA/MBA/CCRA/CIIA/CAIA & equivalent

- Around 2-4 years of experience in relevant financial services experience that includes exposure to ESG investment products

- Strong background in process oriented/data heavy tasks

- Strong English reading and speaking skills

- Experienced at presentation results of research in global settings

- Strong research and analytical skills, including critical thinking and the ability to integrate various sorts of data and information in the analysis

- Ability to quickly process large amounts of data and information

- Ability to work towards deadlines

- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

- Understanding of sustainability topics or key sectors is an advantage

- Analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated
