Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Privacy Consultant to join our team in Delhi. As a Data Privacy Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to data protection regulations and best practices. Your expertise will help us maintain the privacy and security of our customers' sensitive information, foster trust, and uphold our commitment to data privacy.

Responsibilities:

1. - Data Compliance Assessment:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the organization's data privacy practices, policies, and procedures to identify any gaps or non-compliance issues with relevant data protection laws and regulations.

2. - Privacy Policy Development:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, review, and update data privacy policies, ensuring they align with legal requirements and industry standards.

3. - Regulatory Compliance:- Stay up-to-date with data privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide guidance on how these changes may impact the organization's data handling practices.

4. - Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA):- Perform DPIAs for projects involving the processing of personal data, assessing potential risks and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

5. - Employee Training:- Develop and deliver data privacy training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of data protection practices and policies.

6. - Data Breach Response:- Lead incident response efforts in the event of a data breach, including coordinating with relevant stakeholders, documenting the incident, and implementing remediation measures.

7. - Vendor Management:- Evaluate and assess third-party vendors and service providers to ensure they comply with data privacy requirements and uphold the organization's data protection standards.

8. - Privacy by Design:- Advise product and development teams on integrating privacy best practices into new products, features, and services from the design phase.

9. - Data Subject Requests:- Handle and respond to data subject access requests, rectification requests, and deletion requests in compliance with applicable regulations.

10. - Internal Audits:- Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the organization's data privacy controls and recommend improvements as needed.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

2. 5 to 10 years of proven work experience as a Data Privacy Consultant or similar role.

3. Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations in India (e.g., Personal Data Protection Bill) and international frameworks (e.g., India Data Privacy Bill, GDPR, CCPA).

4. Familiarity with privacy impact assessment methodologies and practices.

5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data privacy concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

6. CIPP/E, CIPP/US, DCPLA, DCPP or other relevant certifications will be an advantage.

7. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data privacy policies and procedures.

8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

9. Experience with data privacy tools and software will be a plus.

10. Preferred candidates with prior experience in the technology or financial services industry.
