Valuation Analyst - VC/PE Fund (2-6 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand economics and value drivers underlying each position of the fund
- Develop financial models for business valuations and/or complex security valuations and performing valuation analyses using accepted and relevant approaches in compliance with relevant accounting guidance
- Compile and maintain documentation to support actual financial and company comparable assumptions used in the valuation models
- Maintain relationships and dialogues with portfolio companies to track the developments and key changes
- Research across wide variety of topics - company, industry market/economic research to create well written analyses on each position
- Generate various reporting metrics, portfolio analysis and maintenance of database on analyses
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders - portfolio companies, investment team, consultants, valuation committee, auditors, regulators
- Fund accounting and investor reporting related aspects
- Preparate material for investor communications
Key Requirements:
- CA /CPA/ MBA (Finance)/ CFA
- Highest standards of professionalism, integrity, honesty and reliability
- Good analytical, problem solving, communication and report writing skills
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other office products
- Good understanding of early-stage/growth companies and value drivers
- Understanding of complex financial modelling and simulations
- Experience in business valuations and complex security valuations
- Experience with various databases for performing valuations and research
- Understanding of data science tools and relevant programming languages is a plus
- Highly organized and self-motivated
