Head - New Product Development (NPD) Job Responsibilities : - Conceptualization and ideation of new product variants and product range in alignment with the brand's vision to be a wellness brand. - Identify opportunities to improve existing products in terms of cost, flavor, functionality, positioning, etc. - Lead and execute strategic products for the company on the product/manufacturing front. - Work alongside different functions (revenue, marketing, operations, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure smooth and timely launch of new products. - Lead a team of R&D formulators to give direction on developing new products and ensure the product quality is top-notch. - Develop new vendors/suppliers for high-quality/innovative ingredients for NPD. - Analyze customer feedback through surveys, product reviews, and telephonic conversations to factor these inputs in NPD. Skills & Knowledge : - Strong problem-solving abilities. - Solid understanding of product formulation, nutrition, product launch process, etc. - Good understanding of business unit economics - product cost, MRP, contribution margin, etc. - Can work collaboratively and lead the team - Good communication and written skills - Has a keen interest in food, beverage, nutrition and is updated on the latest wellness trends - Can work in a dynamic and growing organization
