UX Researcher - Internet/Online (3-8 yrs)

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a full-time User/ UX researcher responsible for end to end user and UX research projects with minimum 3 - 5 years of previous experience in User/ UX research specifically of working with startup/ tech companies/ User research agencies.The researcher is responsible for all aspects of research (planning, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) for both generative and evaluative (usability testing, UX) research and her/ his portfolio/ CV should reflect both. The researcher will also be comfortable working with data, secondary research, qualitative and quantitative analysis. A problem solver, self-driven with strong documentation skills.

Important note: 3-5 years as total work experience in non-research areas will NOT be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Planning, designing and conducting generative and evaluative research from defining clear brief, hypothesis, questionnaire development to conducting the research, analysis, documentation and presentation/ reporting.

- Conducting research to gather insights for new product and concept developments (including user requirements gathering and early stage concept and prototype testing, guerrilla research, and other approaches to ensuring the user needs are fully understood).

- Modelling insights gained from user research into formats to enhance organizational understanding of our users - such as behavioural frameworks and user journey maps.

- Working with product and design managers as required to devise appropriate research strategies to generate focused insights and to convert concepts into high quality insights and solutioning material, influencing product/ UX direction.

- She/ he will be using a variety of user and UX research methodologies (and the portfolio/ CV should reflect that).

- Presenting findings, recommendations and user insights to teams in well-designed reports and presentations.

- Managing and tracking research projects and quarter planning with the manager.

- Contribute proactively to user research function in areas of process improvement, project evaluation, better/ effective research approach, company culture, articles on our website.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

- BA/ BE/ Design degree or equivalent from any educational institute. Master's degree is desirable but not necessary.

- 3 - 5 years of User/ UX Research experience is mandatory.

- Weightage will be given to project and hands-on experience than educational qualifications.

- Experience of managing, planning, documenting and conducting generative and usability research for both online/ remote as well as in the field (and the portfolio/ CV should reflect that).

- Experience in analysing both quantitative and qualitative data, behavioural analysis and statistics to produce UX/ user artefacts, frameworks and other qualitative insights across functions of business.

- Excellent documentation and presentation skills are critical.

- Previous experience of developing and conducting usability testing sessions.

- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, a natural team player and collaborative.

- Adaptive to fast paced startup environments, good time-management skills and meet project requirements with stakeholders.
