US Tax Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer & Reviewer with expertise in individual (1040), corporate (1120), and S-corporation (1120S) tax returns, utilizing CCH Access. This role involves both preparing and reviewing tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation Duties:

- Prepare 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Analyze financial documents, income statements, and deductions to calculate tax liabilities.

- Utilize CCH Access for tax return preparation, documentation, and electronic filing.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.

Review Duties:

- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Identify potential errors, tax-saving opportunities, and red flags for audits.

- Provide feedback and guidance to preparers on necessary corrections and improvements.

- Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions.

General Responsibilities:

- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.

- Communicate with clients regarding missing documents, tax concerns, and compliance matters.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely tax return completion.

- Assist with IRS and state tax notices and provide support for audits when necessary.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or EA preferred).

- 5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns.

- Proficiency with CCH Access Software.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
