US GAAP Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial reporting and accounting activities.

- Research and interpret GAAP guidelines and regulations to ensure accurate application.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements according to GAAP standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to implement accounting policies and procedures in line with GAAP requirements.

- Provide guidance and training to finance and accounting teams on GAAP compliance.

- Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to GAAP principles.

- Stay updated with changes in GAAP standards and communicate implications to stakeholders.

- Assist in special projects such as mergers, acquisitions, or system implementations from a GAAP perspective.

- Prepare documentation and reports for external audits related to GAAP compliance.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

- Proven experience as a US GAAP Specialist or similar role.

- Strong understanding of US GAAP standards and regulations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong time management skills.

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
