Job Description :

- UnitedHealth Group is looking for a data scientist to synthesize and leverage our massive dataset of health information & health care industry trends and forecasts to enhance and augment our capability to penetrate in to new geographies and patient/provider /insurer experience and outcomes.

- The team works in quick iterations, using the techniques and algorithms best suited for solving the challenging problems of healthcare companies.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Data Scientist will advocate evangelize and build data-fueled products that help our customers improve the above stated outcomes.

- You dig in and become an expert on our health care datasets.

- You will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverables.

- You will work with cross-functional team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas.

- You will lead applied analytics initiatives that are leveraged across the breadth of our solutions for Health care.

- You will research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.

- You will provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the entire breadth of our organization.

Qualification/Job Requirements :

- Overall 10 - 13 years of IT experience

- Hands on Machine learning experience and implementation of solutions.

- Experience in developing scalable solutions in the areas of Time series forecasting methods

- Expert in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools

- Experience in performing ML / AI on multiple types of data, including text

- Experience in modify existing data sets to transform them for ML/AI approaches, such as writing scripts to classify situations

- Expert in use of statistical analysis environments such as R, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS.

- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Microstrategy.

- Experience in Hadoop based data mining frameworks.

- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Java and C/C++ programming
