Purpose:

We are looking for a hands-on creative head with 8+ years of work experience, who can bring strategic thinking to communication, is able to independently engage with stakeholders, understand marketing problems and translate them into communication problems/solutions and beautiful renditions across visual, audio, AV and other media. This role will be responsible for all communication pieces going across owned, paid and earned media. It is best if the candidate has exposure to both static and moving content and has worked on creating brand books and understanding of design language systems is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

- Lead communication design at Uni - working directly with business, marketing, brand and product teams on business problems and marketing initiatives.

- Lead creative ideation and execution across all marketing channels - including Print, Billboards, Digital Ads, Social Media, Newsletters etc.

- Own the brand personality, visual identity and language across key channels of presence and contribute to brand identity creation.

- In addition, you will contribute to creative efforts across online and offline touchpoints - including website and app.

- Build, manage and lead the creative team comprising of visual designers, copywriters, 3D artists to deliver coherent creative strategy for Uni across all marketing channels

- Co-own the social media calendar, micro campaigns, topical campaigns with the brand

- Have creative vision and come up with innovative ways to elevate the brand.

- Actively sets benchmarks, tracks key business metrics and levers to measure creative effectiveness

Qualification:

Must haves:

- 8+ years of experience in creative roles

- Combination of agency roles and brand roles

- Experience building and leading a successful creative team

- Understanding of different media and skilled in design and creative process

Ideal Candidate:

- Hands-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development

- A strong portfolio showing fantastic visuals and creative problem solving.

- Deep understanding of Content creation in short form and Social Media

- Can come up with new ideas for branding, advertising campaigns and marketing messages.

- He/she should understand design and smart copy and recognize fresh approaches to marketing and advertising.

- Is a wiz at using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge of Sketch app, Adobe XD, and motion graphics, and basic skills in animation are a definite plus. Other good to have skills - prior experience and interest in video content creation and editing.

- Has creative vision and ability to inspire others. Should be able to present and advocate his/her creative ideas.

- Can make confident and clear decisions (or feedback) on final copy, final art, finished commercials, radio spots etc.

- Lives, breathes, sleeps design and is constantly aware of good and bad examples of design in everyday life.

- Is a leader - able to guide and manage a team effectively. Has good interpersonal and people-management skills.

- Displays professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines. Demonstrates an ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.

- Has high levels of ownership and drive.

- Has an eye for detail.

- Seeks excellence, not perfection.

- Has interests outside of work and is passionate about at least one thing in life (be it food or fonts).

- Is keenly interested and up-to-date with the latest in marketing, branding, and social media.
