UL - Account Manager

JOB TITLE: Account Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Travel throughout India to call on existing and prospective clients.

- Be capable of source and prospects, then engaging them in a dialog resulting in the sale of a UL solution.

- Proficient in developing and conducting presentations to executive-level clients.

- Client orientation; building and retaining a strong, referencable client base.

- Proactive, hands-on approach to achieve a high level of sales success.

- Complete understanding of the business practices in India and internal decision-making process.

- Thorough understanding of UL products and services.

- Understanding of regulations governing their market area clients.

- Thorough understanding of the market area’s development processes.

- Good understanding of technologies used in the market area’s development process, such as document management systems, data management systems and manufacturing systems.

- Develop sales and negotiating strategies.

- Leverage existing network of client relationships.

- Develop client-specific solutions based on client needs.

- Follow up on all leads and opportunities.

- Recommend and attend appropriate trade shows and events – as needed.

- Secure sales by prospecting, correctly identifying and closing business.

- Quote prices, contract, and payment terms.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Graduate, preferably with a Masters degree in Management or related field

- At least eight years of proven success in sales, a minimum of 1-3 years in selling software and/or consulting services

- At least five years selling into the Life Science (Pharmaceutical) space in India.
