National Manager - IT Production
1. JOB SUMMARY:
- He/ She is responsible for the entire Production facility which will include the applications, infrastructure and all other components in production.
- He/ She will be responsible for providing necessary technical solution support for New solutions
- He / she is responsible for the effective and efficient operational support of all third-party and internally managed IT software and hardware IT infrastructure and the banking systems and applications, used to support all business
process across the enterprise.
- He / she is also responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved.
2. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direction, support and feedback within IT Production department, composed of Application Services, IT Infrastructure Operations, Network Services, IT Services Operations and Identity & Access Management teams.
- Leads the design & development of the IT production strategy and roadmap and ensures its integration with the broader IT and enterprise strategic plans
- Ensure that the business application systems supported are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
- Improve application functionality and performance and provide suggestions for system and business improvements.
- Develops and controls the IT production operations annual operating and capital expenditure budget and manages expenses to stay within plan.
- Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IT operations environment
- Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques
- Maintains currency on new technologies and service management practices and provides direction on what emerging IT operations technologies and methods should be introduced,
- Supports the IT Production sourcing strategy and provides oversight for vendor and partner relationship management
3. ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Fifteen or more years of experience in IT management, ideally in banking or telecom industry
- Five years of progressive leadership responsibilities
- Preferably experience in effectively managing cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, across the organization and within complex contexts
- Demonstrated experience in establishing standard processes and managing performance to achieve key metrics
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT operations teams in complex and dynamic environments requiring 24/7 support
- Attainment of relevant certifications and professional networking via involvement in industry groups
4. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates IT operations staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
- Excellent service management planning and execution skills
- Experience in budget planning and financial management
- Success in leveraging both traditional practices, such as IT service management, as well as emerging methods, such as DevOps, that are optimized for agility
- Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical/Work-based Skills
- A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists
- A sound understanding of applications and data security
