Ujjivan Small Finance Bank - Manager - Legal - LLB/LLM (6-10 yrs)

- To provide assistance at branches in day to day affairs such as, queries relating to legal/operational issues, settlement of death/insurance claim and locker issues etc.

- Assist in documentation pertaining to secured credit/Microfinance Lending including creation of Mortgages, Hypothecation etc.

- Vetting of Lease Deed/Leave and License agreements for Branches and ATMs and assist in execution of the same. Support in renewal of lease deed pertaining to premises/ATMs.

- Responsible for managing the relationship with external counsel (including selection, negotiation on fees, engagement (empanelment or otherwise) and monitoring/assessing performance of the panel advocates periodically as per RBI guidelines.

- To scrutinize Title Clearance Report, documents taken as securities for the facilities sanctioned (secured loan) and prepare Verification Report suggesting rectification to facilitate disbursement within the prescribed TAT.

- Advising the Business/Branches on stamping/registration and execution of security documents.

- Vet/review of bank guarantees, counter guarantees, POAs/Indemnity and other legal documents.

- Advising HR function relating to employee issues and handling Employee related disputes/cases before ALC/High Courts and other Tribunals.

- To assist in Registration process with CERSAI / ROC as per the requirement.

- Handling Consumer Court matters filed before DCDRF and SCDRC, advising on defence and recourse to be taken and settling disputes within TAT.

- To provide legal support in all litigation filed against the bank and also to assist in litigation filed by the bank.

- Vetting written statements, counter statements, appeal memo and other documents to be filed before the Courts/Forums.

- To guide internal customers on notices received from any statutory authority, Police or any Court of law.

Requirements:

- LLB/ LLM with at least 6 -10 years- work experience as a law officer in a bank / NBFC.

- Good knowledge in dealing with various provisions of banking related Acts.
