PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To lead and deliver on client Engagements from an analytics perspective.

AREAS OF FOCUS: What will you do -

Work with clients to understand their business problems and help articulate the problem within a analytics framework

Work with Ugams onsite and offshore team - based in India, to structure solutions based on analytics tools and techniques

Develop code, statistical models, dashboards and ppts as per client requirements

Present the results of the work to client stake holders and give insights and recommendations that have tangible business impacts

Build relationships with clients to better understand their business, and to enable them to better understand how to use analytics to drive their business

Successfully leverage ideas across clients to spot opportunities and generate new sales leads.

EXPERIENCE

Overall experience in Analytics Consulting and Professional Services for about 6-10 years

Onsite Analytics Consulting experience of 2-3 years

Atleast 2+ years of exposure to Retail and/or Consumer Brands

Atleast 4+ years on hands on experience on modeling and deploying analytics solutions with clients

COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES

Ability to apply first principles and structured approaches to problem solving as opposed to relying excessively on past domain expertise alone

A strong appreciation for Math, Retail Business and Technology

Hands on in statistical packages like SAS and R

Hands on experience on dash boarding tools like Tableau, Spotfire

Good in PPT and Excel

Ability to write Code /SQL to extract data from clients databases

A strong quantitative mindset: You dont have to be a Statistics major, but you do have to know how to work with numbers.

A curious mindset We want someone who asks questions, who asks why something is the way it is.

Strong ability to Influence

Ability to make sense of ambiguity: To lead your team thru fuzzy problems and keep the spirits high in the process

QUALIFICATION

BE/B.Tech, Masters / Bachelors in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research

MBA from IIMs OR other tier 1 institutes in US (Preferred )

Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably Mathematics/Statistics or similar (Nice to have)

Valid Work Permit in the US

TRAVEL

Local and In-country (US) travel will be required on need basis

Short-term international travel (2-4 weeks) will be required 1-2 a year
