Overview :

A seasoned data science professional who will drive business growth for the company by aiding in winning and cultivating new/nascent client engagements via high touch & high quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery :

- Leading a team of big data scientists, analysts and engineers on execution of projects with significant hands-on involvement across the entire project life cycle but especially driving-

- Understanding of client requirement and helping define/refine the problem statement

- Designing the solution construct/approach/methodology

- Quality checking across data, processing, analysis and reporting

- Storyboarding the insights delivery

- Participating in and enabling research on advanced analytics, AI/ML techniques, cloud computing, data engineering to implement cutting edge big data solutions

- Project Management using best in class practices to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of multiple tracks running in parallel

- Ideate and implement initiatives on process improvement, automation etc. towards improving quality and efficient delivery

- Transition of the client engagement to other delivery manager & teams in a structured manner ensuring no negative impact on delivery and client experience

Client :

- Develop and maintaining strong client relationships by building trust and mutual respect

- Schedule and drive regular, recurring relationship reviews with clients

- Implement measures to assess health of client relationships

- Proactively prevent and systematically handle client concerns and escalations

- Participate in identifying opportunities to grow business with clients and in developing requisite material to pitch ideas to clients and prospects

- Lead or assist in developing proposals, RFP responses to win business from clients, prospects

People :

- Design the required team structure to be able to execute and deliver to client expectations

- Actively participate in the recruitment and selection process to add right talent in a timely manner

- Train & mentor team members to acquire the right knowledge & skills to contribute at the desired level

- Build a pipeline of leaders & critical talent to support current operations and preparedness for future

- Facilitate transfer of talent to other teams and absorb talent from other teams

- Provide role clarity to all team members

- Ensure periodic performance review of team and provide clear feedback on a continuous basis

- Resolve employee grievances in a timely and effective manner

- Ensure high engagement levels within the team

Financial :

- Participate in developing pricing models and estimation for new opportunities

- Meet / exceed financial targets around revenue and project profitability

Strategic :

- Ideation and research into new innovative techniques and solutions that can be added to or used to improve the company's offerings and enable the function to continuously climb the value chain

- Stay informed on relevant competitor information and share it within the company as required

- Participate in cross functional initiatives, as and when applicable

KSC for this role :

Knowledge :

Qualification - BE / B. Tech, Masters / Bachelors in Statistics or Economics


Experience :

- 12 to 15 years overall experience

- 8+ years in hands-on analytics delivery

- 6 to 8 years should be in a managerial/supervisory capacity

- Experience in servicing Fortune 500 companies

- Should have worked with US/Global clients and travelled onsite

- Experience in development of mid-level and junior staff

Skills :

- Technical/Domain - Retail / eCommerce, CPG, BFSI etc. domain

- Knowledge of statistical packages (SAS, R), BI tools (Tableau etc.)

- Advanced analytics / Modeling including ML Algos for use cases like Attribution, Clustering/Segmentation, Propensity Modeling etc.

- SQL, NoSQL & Big Data Stacks (Hadoop/HIVE, GCP/AWS/Azure)
