Profile Description: This person's key responsibility is to build the next generation of BiG Data analytical platform integrating multiple very large-scale data sources. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the business of Ugam and client needs in specific - Understand the functional, and non-functional, requirements and help define technical specifications for modular development - Interact with customers, partners and vendors as and when required - Stay updated on the latest trends/ technologies for cloud enablement and evaluate platform capabilities vis-- -vis the trends; plan the roadmap to incorporate the required functionality - Involved in research, system design, prototyping, development, testing, benchmarking and coordination across teams - Responsible for right design and development of multi-tiered, distributed architecture, scalable applications - Provides guidance to project teams regarding architecture principles and standards, technology tools, system and application design, coding and design standards, best practices, and system performance and availability. - Technical assessment (e.g. platforms, tool proliferation, age of underlying technologies, uptime/availability, business processes) - Help recruit technical leads and developers into the organization - Designs complex systems at the component level and directly supervises the quality of designs and implementation within and between components - Support and create a standard framework for development projects and a common library of re-usable components. - Participate in critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. - Adhere to procedures like communication protocols, operational practices / procedures, Information security practices, attendance procedures, etc. - Participate and actively contribute in review meetings. - Buddy up with junior members of the team and up-skill them - Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively - Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions through balanced trade-off assessments around speed, cost, features and business criticality Relevant experience: - 9 to 12 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Snowflake, RDBMS and MS SQLServer - Experience in ELT, Snowflake or SQL environment is required - Job automation done using Tidal - Scheduling services done using Apache airflow. Technical/Domain: - Proven recent work experience with Talend ETL, Version 6 or higher - Extensive recent working knowledge of SQL - Recent working knowledge in Python, Java and JavaScript. - Working knowledge with data warehousing technologies, Snowflake, RDBMS and MS SQLServer - Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical and data related problems with datasets larger than 100M rows - Gather data files and migrate and transform data from external systems - Perform data profiling and data analysis on the source data - Perform/Document data mappings from source to target - Implement ELT/ETL processes to acquire and load large datasets - Experience with large scale data integrations - Manage data hygiene tasks, Troubleshoot data issues and Strong task management skills.
