ABOUT THE ROLE : Supply Chain is the backbone of commerce happening on Udaan. This is the team that creates the logistics capability for sellers and buyers to conduct cross-country trade. The single objective of supply chain in Udaan is to provide consistent, cost effective and transparent logistic solutions to users. In this role you will be leading the transport vendor management function to meet the objectives outlined above. What you will need : - Deep expertise and strong intuition in long haul surface transportation - Strong vendor relationships across India - Leadership experience spanning 5-10 years in a leading logistics company - Demonstrated record of leading a large team What you will do : - Vendor strategy : Define the type of vendor partners to work with for different business needs - Vendor identification and grooming : Identify new vendors and groom them to become loyal long term partners - Vendor management : Track transport performance across cost, reliability and speed and work with vendor partners to continuously improve - People management : Build and manage a pan India team for transport operations.
