Udaan Capital is the NBFC arm of Udaan & offers credit services to buyers and sellers on and off Udaan's B2B ecommerce platform to grow their business further. This space is largely untapped with less than 10% of MSMEs having access to working capital loans from Financial institutions. In this way, Udaan is uniquely positioned to formalize & scale trade credit.

About the Role

As an Analyst, you will directly report to the central returns finance lead to work on projects/initiatives to reduce financial return losses while improving the buyer experience. You will prepare various reports/models/dashboards on identifying gaps in the returns system, provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame hypothesis/decisions that need to be made. You will closely work with various stakeholders in the process of identifying problem statements and support with data points and analysis to frame the hypothesis. You will support and monitor the progress of ongoing initiatives across the org and highlight red flags & provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide FP&A, finance support to the central business finance team related to returns planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.

- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.

- Partner directly with the products, tech and categories groups to collaborate on returns reductions initiatives and improve buyer experience

- Dive deeply into financial data and become a returns subject matter expert to provide additional insights.

- Work on central projects and initiatives to improve returns financial losses and amplify buyer experience

- Create reports/dashboards that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.

- Proactively identify and research on opportunities for improvement in returns processes.

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business finance and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

- Support on ad hoc analysis requested while developing hypothesis

Functional Competencies:

- Problem solving: The role needs the individual to be able to solve for a given business problem in sometimes an ambiguous state and with multiple data streams impacting decision making.

- Data driven/ analytical: The role requires the individual to be processing and analyzing volume of multiple data streams to meeting business targets.

- Collaborative skills: This role requires a lot of working and engagement with senior leaders to create success. should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a growth, young, agile business environment.

- Results orientation: The role is required to deliver on daily short-term goals and long-term milestones set by business and Meeting these milestones would be critical to create success.

Candidate Profile:

- degree from tier 1/2 college with 3-4 years of experience in data analytics with an ability to analyse, model and interpret data.

- SQL/Python + Excel skills

- in developing dashboards on Data Studio with strong data presentation skills

- testing - A/B testing

- ability to automate repetitive tasks

- Superior accuracy and attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities in fast-paced environment.

- knowledge of supply chain in e-commerce business
