The Forecasting manager works with team of forecasting Analysts and helps in building, deploying and supporting predictive models using a wide variety of modelling techniques. This role will manage the overall inventory forecasting of the category to deliver industry-best performance in Forecast accuracy. This role will also be responsible for building and creating systems and process around Inventory forecasting & management for the Foods Business. Key Responsibilities : - This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement in sales analysis, forecast accuracy and forecasting processes to positively impact inventory positions. - Build and create systems and processes around forecasting & inventory policy decision making for managing overall inventory. - Create a strategic framework that supports the development of algorithms that help develop, analyze, and validate predictive models, build recommender systems and evaluate the effectiveness of these systems. - Enable management to make informed, data-based decisions by providing business analysis and analytical support. - Drive system/process improvements working with technical teams and inventory management. - Be solution-oriented & integrate strong and clear data analysis and business rationale into sound decision making and problem solving Functional & Competencies : - Problem solving : The role needs the individual to be able to solve for a given business problem in sometimes an ambiguous state and with multiple data streams impacting decision making - Data driven / analytical : The role requires the individual to be comfortable in processing and analysing volume of multiple data streams to enable meeting company targets. - Collaborative skills : The role requires the incumbent to work closely and coordinate with the Internal and external teams to create success. She/he should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a high growth, young, agile business environment. - Results orientation : The role is required to work and deliver on daily numbers, short-term goals and long-term milestones set by business and efficacy.
