Job Description Central Packaging Analyst

Purpose of the Job: Design and develop the packaging SKUs as per requirements from different categories. Analyze the various cases/requirements of different teams to provide packaging solutions. Manage the vendor development and IQA of packaging materials.

Relationships:

Reports to: Packaging Lead

Supervises: Zonal Packaging Analysts

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

- RTO/RVP return losses

- Interact with the Warehouse operations, warehouse design, and returns team to deal with the RTO/ RVP losses.

- Ensure tamper-evident packaging to identify if the packages are tampered with during the transit and hence reduce losses.

- Liaise with the Tech team in the pipeline and ensure that the packaging is not changed.

- Ensure maximum adherence to SOPs while handling the shipment packages.

- Identify and address any loopholes in the processes and resolve them.

Packaging cost optimization:

- Make necessary design modifications for different category of products. Study the nature of products and decide the kind of packaging required.

- Ensure optimum utilization of packaging materials and the paper combination needed for manufacturing the packaging material for different categories of products.

Vendor Development :

- Manage the procurement of different packaging materials from the vendors at the best rates and quality.

- Review the performance of these vendors and analyze their capacity.

- Communicate the size, specifications, design, etc., requirements for the packaging by analyzing different parameters.

- Finalize the aspects and provide them to the procurement teams.

Internal Quality Assurance :

- Conduct regular quality assurance checks and confirm if the vendor is supplying the packaging materials as per the specifications or deviating and taking necessary actions.

- Conduct regular audits on the packaging designs for marketplace and warehousing.

- Food packaging requirements

- Extend support to departments regarding packaging requirements as and when needed.

Role Expectation:

- Applicant having degree from "Indian Institute of Packaging" with 3+ years will be preferred
