We're looking for a Category Initiative Manager to : - Develop in depth knowledge of specific 3rd party cost categories and collaboratively working with stakeholders to lead the execution of procurement initiatives across multi year and all total cost of ownership (TCO) levers - Ensuring procurement initiatives are developed and followed-through, from inception to full execution of value, in cross-functional teams made-up of finance, cost-management, budget, technical and service owners - Being responsible to drive strategic sourcing topics such as; supplier base optimization to reduce vendors where there is no real value / commercial benefit and add challengers / disruptors where there could be benefits in doing so, management of supplier tail end, creation of rate cards, preferred suppliers or supplier panels - Maintaining and tracking of category initiatives and being responsible for driving the initiative towards its cost target - Understanding all possible TCO levers that could be pulled to support the category target achievement - Creating financial business case and savings opportunities Your team : - You will be part of Supply Chain and report to the Category Manager, ITO. Supply Chain is a recently established Group Sourcing function. It was created to enhance value identification and delivery within Group Sourcing. - Supply Chain provides 3 services, Category Management, Supplier Management and Regional Procurement and includes a Commercial Support and Transformation team. - Group Sourcing was created to support UBS with its third party vendor sourcing strategies and managing the services provided by our near- and offshore delivery centers (UBS Business Solution Center, Outsourcing Delivery Centers) Your expertise : - A university degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline and may have professional commercial qualifications e.g, MBA or CIPS - Ideally 10+ years of experience in the field of procurement, category management or strategic sourcing - Experience with IT Outsourcing - Experience in running projects / initiatives from inception to completion. PMP is an advantage - A bachelor's degree or higher education is desired - Hghly financially literate - Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by building relationships to deliver tangible results in complex environments - Strong analytical and presentation skills - Strong commercial acumen - Fluent in English both oral and written - other languages an advantage - Strong team player - Flexible and pragmatic - Motivated to deliver ambitious cost reduction targets - Known for hitting deadlines
