About the Role : At Uber, providing world-class customer support to riders and driver partners is a core feature of our product experience. Delivering this caliber of support isn't easy - it takes Managers who can understand Uber's operations, adapt to our constantly changing business, and help solve problems where no solution currently exists. At cornerstone for this is understanding root cause for the issues riders and drivers face and providing insights to the adequate teams to continuously improve the system. As lead in CommOps, your primarily responsibility is to ensure your team and you provide insights to operations and product. You would be required to project manage the impactful initiatives that would improve the platform experience. What You'll Do : - Automation Programs (Customer facing) : Understand Uber's complex platform and identify opportunities where customer facing support areas can be automated for delightful experience - work closely with our Product teams and Engineering and be the ops backbone to define and launch such initiatives - Automation Programs (Backend) : Identify backend resolution efficiency automation opportunities and work with our Product team and Network partners for launch and execution to drive cost savings - Innovating Product Insights : Identify what improvements can be made in the app and support products to ensure that drivers and riders are not facing problems What you'll need : - Graduate : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience - Work Experience : At least 6+ years including 2+ of product/engineering experience - Ownership : You're a self starter. You're ready for the autonomy that comes with building a new team within Uber with minimal oversight - Analytical Skills : Demonstrated background in solving complex customer problems. - Basic Excel and data interpretation skills : Ability to understand & create charts, graphs, and pivot tables - Strong communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong stakeholder management skills : You will need to align stakeholders across regional and Global Community Operations, India City Operations and Central Operations to get impact - Perseverance: You stay poised and calm under changes and tight timelines.
