Data Privacy Analyst

As part of the plan, TVS Credit is looking to institutionalize and improve systems and processes by leveraging the might of technology & analytics across the organization to enable agile decision making to power growth

Responsibilities:

- Own and keep under constant review all the TVS Credit Services data protection compliance.

- Arrangements to include updating policies and guidance, centralising processes and putting in place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary.

- Support in developing and maintaining relevant TVSCS internal data privacy policies and training.

- Informing and advising the TVSCS on the governing data protection regulations, RBI Guidelines and its requirements, liaising with legal team's support as required.

- Drafting and maintaining privacy notices and cookie policies on websites and digital assets.

- Answer to data subject requests in a timely manner in accordance to the law.

- Conduct DPIAs as a Privacy SME.

- Support in partnering with all key business areas, in particular the IT Security team, Compliance team, legal team etc. to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives.

- Act as a liaison to the TVSCS's privacy council in relation to the relevant data privacy issues.

- Help manage the data privacy network across all offices.

- Handle enquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights.

- Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy.

- Support in ensuring that systematic compliance audits are undertaken and that their findings are reported and acted upon.

Job Holder Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

- A qualified lawyer with min. 2-3 years of work experience and excellent academics credentials

- Demonstrate deep knowledge of data privacy, data handling and data classification.

- Demonstrate experience of managing data privacy issues in a large organisation.

- Expertise in data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the guidelines, etc.

- Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews.

- Have the ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within TVSCS.

- Ability to review, analyse and organise documentary and factual evidence.

Technical & Personal Skills:

- High work standards.

- Self-starter, proactiveness

- Excellent writing, organisational and problem solving skills.

- Strong service/ result orientation.

- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and manage own workstream.

- Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with people across the business

- Ability to work well in both a team and individually.

- Keen to develop and use initiative.

- Strong attention to details.
