Job Purpose:

This role is responsible to oversee credit risk strategies for e-commerce lending programs. The role requires deep expertise in credit risk, underwriting models, and portfolio monitoring, particularly in partnerships with e-commerce platforms for Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), Personal Loans, or Co-branded Credit products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and manage credit policies for customer acquisition through e-commerce platforms.

- Analyze partner-sourced customer profiles and define risk segmentation frameworks.

- Collaborate with credit bureaus, data science, and analytics teams to develop scorecards and alternate data models.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the e-commerce lending portfolio: approval rates, default rates, vintage analysis, etc.

- Work closely with product, risk, and partner teams to fine-tune underwriting rules based on evolving trends.

- Conduct periodic reviews of credit performance at a cohort, product, and partner level.

- Ensure regulatory and internal compliance in all customer onboarding and decisioning processes.

- Support the launch of new products in collaboration with tech and product teams by providing credit risk input.

Job Requirements:

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field

- 8+ years of experience in credit risk or underwriting, preferably in fintech or digital banking environments.

- Experience in managing credit programs tied to e-commerce or digital channels

- Exposure to digital lending APIs and onboarding journeys

- Experience in co-lending or third-party origination models

- Strong grasp of consumer lending credit risk principles (unsecured lending, EMI financing, BNPL, etc.)

- Knowledge of e-commerce customer behavior and alternative data sources (digital footprint, transaction data)

- Familiarity with credit decisioning tools and rule engines (e.g., Experian Hunter, FICO, custom engines).

- Proficiency in data tools: SQL, Excel, SAS, Python (preferred)

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
