Research &amp; Portfolio Management Role with TVS Capital Funds Origination: - Lead the research function and initiatives of the fund - Mapping and coverage of categories - Tracking key category trends, developments, opportunities and risks - Presentation of high-quality category maps to the management and the investment team - Constant updation of category maps (say once a quarter depending on priority) - Maintain and manage internal repository of reports - Handle administrative and paper-work required for research quality control - Standardise and streamline the fund's research initiative - Work alongside the investment team in originating investment opportunities arising from thorough proprietary research Managing Investment Process: - Streamlining the internal investment process by ensuring compliance with policies and process - Review investment memos to ensure presentation of high-quality notes to the management/investment committee. - Supervise and co-ordinate the work of analysts to achieve the Research and Origination objectives of the Fund Portfolio Management: - Liasoning with business partners for post-investment monitoring - Maintain and manage periodic MIS, financial and other reports on the business partners. Updating key metrics on Sharepoint and Power BI - Presenting periodic portfolio review along with the investment team to the investment and internal committees - Monitoring of post-investment actionables, ensuring compliance with terms of investment. KPIs: - Number of categories and companies covered under research maps - High-quality of category-maps - Number of proprietary deals originated based on research initiative - Portfolio monitoring based on set goals Qualification &amp; Experience: - Masters- Degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Finance or Chartered Accountant or related domains, preferably at post-graduate level. - Atleast 8 years of professional experience in research/origination roles with hands-on experience in sector coverage. Competencies: - Excellent research skills - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Experience in working alongside teams and leading business initiatives - Strong ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment - Networked in the research industry. - Goal-oriented with strong drive - Ability to quickly understand business requirements and deliver results - Willingness to take additional efforts to deliver results for the organisation - Adept with digital and technology tools for driving research outputs (R/Power BI/etc)
