Our objective is to make insurance buying transparent, simple, easy and empower the end consumers to make the right decision of buying insurance through right advice.

Turtlemint also works with many banks in India, UAE to enable them to distribute insurance through the TurtleOne API. Approximately 2 Mn+ policies are sold & 6 Mn+ quotes are issued through the platform annually.

Role:

The Turtlemint group comprises 3 legal entities - a tech company, an insurance broking company that is regulated by IRDAI and a mutual fund distribution company. The company is looking for someone to be part of their Financial Planning and Analysis function. TM is one of the fastest growing insurance tech companies in India and is currently operating at a scale of over US$ 250m in premium generation per annum. Given this scale and growth, the company is ambitious eventually taking the company to IPO in a few years.

The role demands that the candidate has experience in working in FP&A teams. The nature of work is wide ranging - from helping build Annual Operating Plans of the company, helping with investor reporting, building analytics dashboards that help in tracking business performance, evaluating new business initiatives and investments and so on. The role also oversees some aspects of the revenue and profitability management functions within the finance team.

The candidate is ideally someone with at around 2-3 years' post qualification experience. The candidate is ideally a Chartered Accountant with some experience in working in FP&A teams in companies. The ideal candidate combines strong finance function competencies with a good commercial sense that enables the candidate to effectively add value to the planning function. A massive advantage will be if the candidate has experience in working with analytics packages such as Tableau, Power BI etc.

Ability to confidently interact on important issues with multiple cross functional stakeholders of the company is important and hence strong communication skills is critical.

Responsibilities:

- Support in preparation of annual business plan and periodic forecasts

- Tracking business performance vs budget / prior forecast and performing variance / trend analysis

- Making Vertical and Branch P&Ls

- Periodic financial reporting, MIS & PPTs for management, board members and investor updates

- Perform competition benchmarking and analysing periodic financials

- Ability to work on ad-hoc assignments involving financial decision making - NPV, IRR, Capital Budgeting, etc.

- Financial modelling / simulations for evaluating business proposals

- Developing and updating key financial and operating dashboards for senior leadership and providing commentary on actuals / observations

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant. MBA is not mandatory - but will be advantageous

Work Experience :

- CA Freshers with articleship in Big4 or completed Industrial Training, or

- Around 1-2 years of PQE in FP&A and/or Business Finance profile

- Ability to work on large data sets

- Analytical skills to interpret the data and summarise it

- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders (cross-functional) and task orientation

- Exposure to data analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI etc is optional but advantageous. Extremely high and advanced level proficiency in Excel is must.

- Max CTC 12 Lakhs
