This opening is for our client who is into IT Infrastructure/ Networking Industry.

Role - Business Development Manager

Reports to - GM - Sales

Location - Bangalore & Delhi.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The ultimate objective is to grow sales and margin and to increase market share through effective promotion and sales efforts and by aggressively defending achieved market share against competition. Focused on the 4P's of Marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Place).

Responsible for B2B sales activities for networking / passive cabling products, including new product launches, competitive data gathering, Voice of the Customer ( VOC ) & creation of sales tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Drive Networking products sales in Bangalore

- Essential to possess Techno-commercial skill set.

- Gain Knowledge on customer organization, their buying process & sales methodology in Networking sales i.e. Technology, BFSI, ISPs, Telcos, BPOs, Software, Colo.

- Knowledge of named people within the territory (i.e. IT heads, Facility Head, Purchase team, SI partners, OEM).Ability to liaise effectively with all levels of personnel within customers

- Ability to draw up own action plan to deliver a target within an agreed time scale

- Ability to - Value Sell-, i.e. probe to find real needs/wants and then sell our Principal (OEM) products benefits which meet these needs.

- Key account management experience.

- Define the right product & price to sell in each market working closely with sales and marketing managers, trying to address the customer needs and leveraging the maximum price and market share for the Organization. Cooperate to design specific bundled solutions among & within the different OEMs and have the capability to choose the correct portfolio, building a clear strategy for the price & product positioning.

- Identify growth opportunities in the assigned geography, guiding and attracting the support from appropriate marketing services resources and working closely and synergistically with other team members

- Responsible for collecting VOC from the Customer segments, working closely with OEMs to ensure feature sets are prioritized and business plans are justified.

- Provide information & analysis of price trends of the key products within the portfolio and competitive price information

FIRST THREE MONTHS EXPECTATIONS

(List in order of importance the position objectives & measurements associate will be expected to deliver within the first six months of employment. Be as specific and concrete as possible in describing these tasks)

- Acquire and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the product lines and applications within the field

- Develop new funnel, leverage the current relationship with the customer and develop new accounts for immediate revenue

- The close significant number of orders in the pipeline currently

- Develop and maintain relationships with internal, Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, OEM and direct key accounts.

- Enhance existing pipeline related to open opportunities
