Research Manager

Key Roles/ Responsibilities :

1. Development of M&E plan:

a. Understand STEMI/ Cardiovascular disease program, develop a robust M&E plan to systematically collect, analyze and use data and processes to capture progress of the project

b. Design and adapt tools for data collection on key indicators and reporting templates

c. Utilize monitoring and evaluation findings for improving project strategies.

2. Research, Report, proposal writing :

a. Develop high-quality research proposals and concept notes based on needs of community & organization and literature review (both academic and non-academic literature)

b. Plan, develop and implement research studies in collaboration with partners.

c. Ability to use data analysis software for research data.

d. Lead research manuscript preparations and assess quality of proposal, data collection and data quality.

E. Lead good paper publication in peer reviewed journals.

3. Data Management and Analysis:

a. Ensure timely data collection from different sources

b. Periodically compile data, analyze, and prepare analytical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

c. Develop and implement data quality assurance processes and implement periodic data quality audit

d. Lead efforts to utilize the findings, provide inputs to the states, clusters and district teams to advocate with concerned government departments to streamline programs

e. Develop knowledge products based on the studies and survey findings for external and internal stakeholders

f. Undertake field visits to monitor the project implementation and evaluations.

g. Organize meetings and workshops and communicate with stakeholders

4. Any other specific task assigned by the Lead, as required

Essential Qualifications : Master's degree in public health data management /research/development science or related field.

Essential Experience :

1. At least 5 years of experience in M&E, data management, MIS handling, and report writing.

2. Professional experience in knowledge management, documentation, and report writing for national/international presentations or papers.

3. Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with a proven track record of conducting quality research.

4. Knowledge of data collection tools, data collection apps, and dashboard visualization software would be an added advantage.

Essential Skills :

- Knowledge of evaluation methodologies such as qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact, and data collection and analysis methodologies.

- Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively translate data into actionable information.

- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and statistical software packages like SPSS or Stata for data analysis.

- Fluency in both English and Hindi with excellent reading, writing, and oratory skills is a prerequisite

- Ability to communicate effectively, network, and negotiate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as a team player.

- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong training and mentoring skills.
